CAD Design and Manufacturing
Students will learn Computer Numerical Control with automated manufacturing using milling machines. Working with plastics and wood, students will make several projects of their own design using 3D design and control systems. By adding special effects students will take home various cool projects.

Programming with Raspberry Pi
This camp is for the more advance programmer that would like to build challenging projects that use Raspberry Pi. Learn advanced development and integration tools. We will choose from several projects to task participants and keep them enthused.

SPARK Electronics
Spark Electronics will provide an understanding of electricity, electronic components, circuits, design software and test tools. The Roots 2 STEM program will provide training on electronics with design, building, bench testing, printed circuit board design, and prototyping. The program will also provide open source and powerful learning tools designed for PCB design and layout. Participants will build their own electronics project using lab tools and will learn building techniques.

Little Engineers
Roots 2 STEM will provide various projects that our Little Engineers can work on and build with Lego and Vex. Hands-on experience in a fun and challenging environment. Projects use critical design and problem solving with an engineering approach.

Robotics
For youth, learning to build their own remote controlled vehicles can be the perfect engineering experience! Campers will learn how to put together their own creations in our Discovery Lab. This camp will teach students the finer points to designing, building and programming there own robot. This educational and interactive camp is perfect for builders!
Ages 12-17: One week camp from Jul 20-24

Fee: $335 + GST (each camp participant will receive a Roots 2 STEM t-shirt)
