Robin has a passion for helping to make the world a better place; she holds a degree in Psychology from UBC with a focus on developmental psychology as she knew from an early age that she wanted to help people. She was also at the top of her class in the Dale Carnegie Leadership Training Course.
Robin has a longstanding record of helping out in the not for profit field, volunteering at major events with many organizations while also focusing her efforts with Animal Rescue Foundation at a more intense level for over 5 years. In 2013 Robin decided to look for a new career path in which she could be a benefit to society; she worked at the Calgary Drop In and Rehab Centre Society in Volunteer Services for 2 ½ years, working closely with corporate and family groups, hosting tours, and running the school program which brought students in grades 6-12 into the shelter to learn about homelessness. In March 2016, Robin became a Corporate and Community Engagement Specialist for OneWalk to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Alberta Cancer Foundation. Participants of OneWalk pledge to raise $1500 each for ACF; Robin taught people how to fundraise and helped them reach their goals.
Robin joined the Roots 2 STEM team in March 2017 as Manager of Fund Development – a title she was born to hold according to many people who have worked with her. Robin brings new vigour to the office, planning a variety of events and helping to create awareness about the programs being offered at Roots 2 STEM.
