Engineering Academy Courses
“Evening Engineering Programs in Our Lab of Discovery”
The Roots 2 STEM Evening Education Program includes hands-on lessons designed to take students step-by-step through the techniques and skills introducing them to science and engineering. Using math, technology, creativity and innovation to problem solve in the real world, these courses will introduce students to a greater understanding of the STEM disciplines.
With each program students will use the engineering design process (defining the problem and documenting), data gathering, generating ideas, and developing solutions (including prototyping, testing and redesigning).
Each course focuses on a major discipline of engineering including: electrical, power, civil, chemical, aerospace, mechanical and mechatronics. Young people learn best through hands-on activities and tactile experimentation. We provide a 4,000 sq.ft. facility full of cool tools and equipment that stimulate your child’s imagination.
Our facility, and the equipment here, can enhance the science and engineering projects that you have always wanted to try with your child.
Learning from professional engineers and scientists, students are able to make more detailed inquiries that ignite their imagination and challenge their thinking.
With small class sizes and dedicated, professional instructors – combined with industry mentors and interns, the education environment at Roots 2 STEM is totally focused on enhancing the confidence level of every student.
We have all new projects for the 2019/20 year.
Courses run from September until June.
– Monday evenings – Grades 4-6, 7-9
– Classes are once per week.
Here are the 2019/2020 Evening Education programs until June/2020.
